Author Guidelines

Issued with Decision No. 1371/QĐ-ĐHTL dated August 19, 2015 of Rector of Thuyloi University

1. Journal of Water Resources & Environmental Engineering provides a forum for scientific research papers, technology
transfer, advanced scientific and technologies, typical management organizational models, ... in the fields of water resources,
hydropower, prevention and mitigation of natural disasters and environmental protection of foreign and Vietnamese scientists;
written in Vietnamese, or in English. This Journal is on the list of journals whose scores are calculated by the State Council for
Professorship. The Journal does not accept published papers in other publications
2. The manuscript should not exceed 8 pages, paper size A4 (210mm x 297mm) including figures, tables, photos and
references, as follows: - Font: Times New Roman (Unicode), font size: 12pt; - Left margin: 3cm, Right margin: 2cm, Top margin: 2,5cm, Bottom margin: 2,5cm; - Paper title: Font: Time New Romans, bold upper case letter, font size 14pt; - Full name of authors, center line below paper title, lower case, bold, size 12pt; the author's address is below the name of each
author; Number of authors should not exceed 4 people. - Each manuscript must include an abstract, keywords in both Vietnamese and English. The title must be translated into
Vietnamese and/or English (depending on the writing language). Each abstract must not exceed 200 words in 1 paragraph, 12pt in
italic size, providing the most basic content and the main results of the paper. Keywords: need to be specific, list at least 3 words
or phrases, located just below abstract, 12pt font size. - The abstract in Vietnamese is placed below the address of the author, the abstract in English is under the References and vice
versa for the paper written in English. - Manuscript content should be organized in order: Introduction, paper content, conclusions and references. Heading letters is
bold, uppercase. Items need to be numbered according to Latin numbers, similar to the numbering method of TCVN according to
current standards; - Titles of tables are above tables, in lower case letter, bold, centered; titles of figures and photos are below figures and photos,
in lower case letter, italic, centered. Maps are in accordance with current standards, including map scale and north-south
directions; figures and tables are numbered and cited in the text. The figures should be in correct place and clear. Charts or graphs
printed in black and white should be clear, not blurred. - Equations should be typed clearly using the Math Type in Microsoft Office Word; numbered in order and within parenthesis
(…) on the right-hand side of the equation that are ≥ 2cm away from the equations.
3. Acknowledgments (if any): Put at the end of the manuscript, before the references.
4. References should be only cited the documents cited in the paper, except the document directly related to the citation, all
authors should be included in the names. References written in languages beyond Latin alphabet should be converted to Latin
alphabet. References are sorted by language (first Vietnamese and then foreign languages such as English, French, German ...),
alphabetically sorted by author's name for Vietnamese, author's family for with foreigners, as follows: - For books, dissertations and reports: Full name of author or issuing agency, year of publication (in parentheses), title of
book, thesis, report (italic), publisher, place of publication. - For journal papers, papers in a book, conference or seminar proceedings: Full name of author, year of publication (in
parentheses), title of paper (in quotes), journal name, book title or proceeding title (italic), volume (without spaces) number (in
parentheses) if available, page numbers (hyphen between two numbers). For example: Nguyen Van A (2013), "Experimental
research and evaluation ...", Journal of Water Resources & Environmental Engineering, 43 (1), p. 10-15. - Sources of reference citation are placed in the paper under (author's name - publication year) in parentheses; in case more
than 2 authors, just write name (first author and the phrase "nnk." and the year of publication) for Vietnamese papers or the word
"et al." for English papers.
5. At the end of the manuscript, clearly state: Full name, academic title, degree, place of work, address, telephone, e-mail and
signed by the author (s) confirming the results of the article has not been published.
6. Authors submitting papers must pay a fee according to the operating regulations of the Journal.
7. The Editorial Board only accepts papers which have been clearly formatted with clear figures in according to the above
regulations. The editor will not re-send the paper to the author in case the paper is not accepted for publishing. In case the paper
must be resubmitted for correction by the author, the date of receipt will be the date of receipt of the completed manuscript.
8. Manuscripts should be sent to the Editorial Board in printed format on A4 paper, attached files to the email.
9. The authors whose papers are published on the Journal of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering are responsible
for the information they provide and are free of charge for the two journals that the papers published.
10. All papers in the Journal will be published in full text on the website http://tapchivatuyentap.tlu.edu.vn/
